I participated in my first street fair today.  On Wendesday I was offered a place in a booth to show my jewelry.  It is not necessarily something I plan to do much of, but it was good experience and I enjoyed seeing people’s reactions to the jewelry as they learned about its inspiration and meaning.

 Since it was not something I planned on doing, I did not even have a sign, and I did not realize it until I was in the shower this morning.  So I quickly put a piece of poster board into a big black frame and hand wrote out a sign with some Sharpies.

 People would come up and say "What’s the word?!"  It was pretty fun, and a great opportunity to share some of my favorite things from the Bible. 

I kept the set up fairly simple as well.  I already had acrylic frames describing each collection and had the collections laid out in black trays for people to see and try on.  Since I was not prepared with stock I was set up to take orders, helped women make out their Christmas wish lists, and handed out business cards to my website:  www.loridelisle.etsy.com

 My dear friend Allison was able to come last minute and help me out all day.  We had a lot of fun talking with each other and the many people who came by to visit our booth.  Thanks Allison, I had a great day with you!
