I turned 34 last week. Yep, not hiding anything here. So I really was not all that excited about turning 34, but I had a pretty darn good birthday. On the actual day my Mother-in-Love took me out for lunch and an afternoon of shopping. I think the two of us were at The CheeseCake Factory for at least 2 hours talking, probably more. And then we got to enjoy browsing the mall sans kids. Very nice.
The day before my birthday I got to drop all three boys with my wonderful husband after I went to my morning Bible study. I spent the afternoon alone getting a manicure, pedicure, hair cut and … purple extensions! I’ve been waiting for weeks to get them. I had red ones in for Christmas and loved them, but I’ve been waiting for those purple ones the entire time.
I’ve had requests for photos of my new hair, and finally had an opportunity on Tuesday. My husband and I were able to get away to Carmel for the day, just the two of us (no kids again!) We had lunch in a little outdoor cafe next to a cozy fire pit. We walked up and down Ocean Avenue a bit enjoying the shops. I had to stop at Coach and marvel at the window displays filled with "Spring Green" hand bags. What’d I tell you!? 
We then took a relaxing trip down 17 Mile Drive. The weather and the day were absolutely beautiful. I had my hubby take advantage of the breath taking views by snapping my picture. Well, he did not really "snap" my picture. We looked like ridiculous tourists taking a bizillion photos trying to get the view and my hair in a decent photo with the sun angles we were dealing with … sun sets in the west you know. Well … here it is … our best with 15 minutes of snapping! Ha, ha, …. Penny we needed you!
Still hard to see, but I’ve got three streaks down my right side. Just a little punch of surprise color.
