Jewelry Care

Jewelry that is worn continually often develops a lovely patina, a kind of glow combined with darkened areas. If you like the look, leave it alone. If you prefer your piece to be bright and shiny you can store it with the anti-tarnish strip included in your box in a small zip-lock bag with the air removed. You can gently buff the pieces with your included polishing cloth. I do not recommend using most silver polish dips as many of them may harm soft stones and pearls. I do recommend a gentle cleaner like "Jewel Brite." It is safe for all stones except for those that are dyed. Do not soak anything with wood, feathers, fabrics or leather.

Wooden beads and hair sticks will weather and age especially if they get wet. If you would like to restore the rich color they can be polished with a little wood polish or oil.

Pieces that include feathers should be stored in a place where they can not be crushed and should be worn for special occasions only.

Store these pieces in a dust free environment and protect from crushing. Edges are lightly treated to prevent fraying. Gently clean (not leathers) with a damp cloth and mild soap when necessary. Ribbons may be lightly pressed with a cool iron.

These sit rather precariously on the outside of your hand and can be bumped around more than other rings. Save them for more special occasions.
